How To Replace The Front Struts On A 2006 Toyota 4Runner Limited 2wd NON X-REAS Suspension

However that's using OEM parts, which are Artie failing with the front end sag since the spring rate in the front is too soft. You can get these aftermarket KYB replacement struts for less than $250 for both the left and the right front. This comes with the entire strut assembly for the 4Runner, including a brand-new spring, shock, mounting plate, rubber bushing, and even brand new nuts to mount the top of the assembly to the strut tower in case your old ones are corroded. This unit comes completely preassembled, and you don't have to fool with a spring tensioner or assembling the shock to the mounting kit… It's all done for you. Like I mentioned before in the video, it's the same amount of work to replace the spring by itself, and not much more expensive to buy the whole unit. This video shows how to replace the front struts on 2006 Toyota four Runner 2wd Limited model. I chose to go with aftermarket KYB complete replacement struts, since is the same amount of work to replace either the spring or the shock independently of each other. The ride quality is much improved with the KYB's, and they were also less expensive than in the genuine OEM Toyota replacements. The other is not decided to go with the KYB's, is they have a slightly different spring rate, which will help with the front and sagging and improve ride quality over brick roads and washboard bumps. Now they're installing I've been driving the truck for a few weeks, the front end is much tighter and it handles much better. The front inside that plagues a lot of limited models that come with a lighter spring in the front, has been completely reversed with the new KYB's, and even raise the front end about an inch and a half when measuring from the ground to the top of the fender well. I would highly recommend the KYB struts to anyone looking to replace their shocks or springs on the 4runner, and I bought mine from Amazon after having a bad experience ordering from auto anything.
