HELP: Arctic Cat Riot VS Riot X - Bad Trail Handling???

Wondering if I dun goofed on snowchecking the Riot X instead of the Riot. I'd love to have the telescoping adjustable steering stem, but the narrower stance and mountain front end might not be worth it to get it.
